René jean amba
The painter sculptor was born in 1992 in Cameroon. He started showing up his skill very early at the age of 10, at Ngoro, his native village, where he did his primary and secondary studies. The revealing moments of his talent began there.
Very talented and ambitious, he desire to study and to acquire knowledge this field, and his uncle enrolled him in an art school. It was at the Mbalmayo Artistic Training Institute (IFA) that he became acquainted with the artistic world in 2004, from which he emerged in 2011. Very gifted and attentive he listens to all activities that come close to his field. And created his art studio amba-art https://www.facebook.com/renejeanambaart/ in 2011, he is also an executive member of the international artistic collective INANA NETWORK https://www.inana-network.org/ which organizes and creates artistic residences between local artists and foreigners in Europe and America with the aim of integration.
In his studio, the contemporary artist creates shapes in clay, bronze, plaster, wood, resin, and even welded iron. It must be said that the concept is the key word in his work, then comes the material. His works are very characteristic, powerful, imposing, and rich in content, which gives him a place in all spaces because the artist has been able to create a path for himself and his charm attracts gallery owners, collectors, designers of interior and exterior spaces. Although he remains contemporary in his creative approach, his works can be described as post-impressionist. He draws his inspiration from nature, human beings, animal life, and everyday life subjects.
Having a very refined taste in visual arts, and wanting to grow in experience, René continued his studies at the University of Yaoundé 1 at FALSH ( the faculty of arts letters and human sciences) in the Department of Arts and Archaeology, where he studied fine arts and art history. After his studies, he worked in his own art studio, and collaborated with renowned artists from his country to better enrich himself with advices and experiences, which allowed him to familiarize with several materials. This also justifies its multidisciplinary.
His encounter with other artists opens up new perspectives. his dreams grew. He says “we cannot live without sculpture because the human being is one, and the earth another”. Throughout our lives, we face sculptures. humanity will never stop drawing inspiration from the human body to create.
